Vessels of Spring: Let it bloom with Micheluzzi Glass

Vessels of Spring: Let it bloom with Micheluzzi Glass

Spring is here, and it feels like the perfect time to refresh our homes with joyful, seasonal arrangements.

At home, we love using our vases as vessels for floral displays. They truly come to life when they hold flowers, or even fruits and vegetables. It’s something we’ve always done, naturally and intuitively.

This way of using glass was actually the starting point for our collection. We grew up watching our mum decorate the house with glass vases filled with flowers, seasonal produce, branches, whatever she felt drawn to. That memory is still at the heart of how we design, use, and think about our pieces today.

It’s also how we love to represent our glass: not just as objects, but as living parts of a space. Over time, we’ve photographed countless arrangements, at home, in our shop, at friends’ houses, and during collaborations, and now we’ve gathered some of our favourites into a kind of spring-summer photo album. We hope it will inspire you to style your glass pieces in new and unexpected ways.

These images invite you to see the vase as more than just a standalone object. Think of it as a vessel for expression, through flowers, certainly, but also through surprising touches like lemons, asparagus, or a simple branch in bloom. Often, it’s the smallest seasonal elements that bring freshness and light into a room.

You might remember the Ikebana workshop we held with Evelina Florence Flowers at Palazzo Venart, an experience that deeply inspired us and reshaped how we approach floral composition in our glass.

Whether you’re drawn to blooming branches, playful produce, or delicate spring florals, there are endless ways to use our vases to create your own centrepiece. Each arrangement, no matter how simple, becomes a small, temporary installation—a gentle rhythm between nature and glass.

In this new Diary story, we’re sharing some of our favourite compositions and moments to offer ideas for your own spring settings.
