Venetian Echoes: Marta Bastianello Design Milano

On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2026, Micheluzzi Glass and Massimo Micheluzzi take part in Venetian Echoes, an installation by Marta Bastianello at the Alberto Levi Gallery.

The project is conceived as a contemporary Venetian interior, where Marta Bastianello’s new bespoke furniture collection takes shape through the involvement of master artisans and outstanding manufacturers, in collaboration with partners such as Rubelli, Alberto Levi, Massimo Micheluzzi, and Micheluzzi Glass, with whom the designer has worked for many years.

Pieces in brass, leather, and wood, together with seating upholstered in velvet and textiles by Rubelli, and a collection of rugs designed for Alberto Levi, reinterpret elements of the city such as Venetian campi and the Istrian stone steps leading to the canals.

Within this setting, the works of Micheluzzi Glass and Massimo Micheluzzi complete the space as elements of light and material. The mosaics by Massimo Micheluzzi recall traditional Venetian floors, while the engraved and textured glass by Micheluzzi Glass evokes the atmosphere of the lagoon and the movement of water. Vases and glassware interact naturally with the furniture and surfaces.

A selection of glasses completes the bar, designed as a luminous cabinet with a brass structure, stucco finishes using natural pigments and waxes, and an interior lined with antiqued mirror that enhances reflections and transparency.

With Venetian Echoes, Marta Bastianello continues her research on proportion, materials, and attention to detail, creating a cohesive space where tradition and contemporary design come together.
