On the occasion of The Venice Glass Week 2025, Micheluzzi Glass presents a new collection that reflects their ongoing exploration of the material and their deep connection to Venice and its glassmaking tradition.
"Onde di Vetro" ("Waves of Glass"), the latest collection by Micheluzzi Glass, is an exploration of the vitality and boundless expressive potential of glass. Ten unique pieces will be on display at the Micheluzzi Gallery, in a presentation that celebrates the transformation of the material. The fluid forms and vibrant surfaces of the series evoke the movement of water and the shimmering reflections of the Venetian lagoon. Waves and grooves, impressed during the hot-working process, are shaped into dynamic silhouettes that capture the ever-changing essence of the lagoon landscape. Each vase, hand-blown and sculpted, reflects a balance between control and experimentation, enhancing the organic, living nature of glass. The color palette — Amber, Ocean, and Crystal — draws inspiration from the liquid hues and atmospheric moods of Venice, a constant source of inspiration for Elena and Margherita Micheluzzi.
Alongside the new Micheluzzi Glass collection, the gallery will also feature a special display dedicated to "Materia Architettonica", a selection of iconic works by their father Massimo Micheluzzi, part of his renowned series of architectural glass sculptures. Created in black and clear glass, these essential structures blend futuristic visions with primordial archetypes: towers, prisms, and sculptural volumes that seem to emerge from ice or rock, evoking the intersection of nature and architecture.
With this double exhibition, the Micheluzzi Gallery reaffirms its role as a reference point for contemporary glass in Venice — a space where tradition, experimentation, and diverse creative languages converge.
